29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): a) Work site was located at 321 NJ 440, Jersey City, NJ 07305 Employees were exposed to cave-in hazards when working in an open unprotected trench in Class C soil that was approximately seven feet, four inches deep and four feet, nine inches wide without cave-in protection. On 02/27/2020, one of the trench walls collapsed. Violation was observed on or about February 27, 2020.
