29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section: Main St., Springfield, MA: On or about February 14, 2020, 2 employees were working in an excavation that was in excess of 6 feet deep with no protection system against cave-ins. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29CFR1903.19(d)(1).
