29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation is not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section: a. The employer fails to assure effective protections against cave-ins as required by the standard, as demonstrated on February 12, 2020, employees are working in a 7 foot deep excavation located at 14112 Martin Lane, Yulee Florida are not protected from cave-in by an adequate protective system. Jax Utilities Management, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1257749, citation number 2, item number 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on October 3, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at Delaroche Drive & Montmarte Drive Jacksonville, FL 32210.
