29 CFR 1910.36(g)(2): Exit access(es) were not at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points. On or about January 31, 2020, exit accesses were not maintained at a minimum of 28 inches at all points between storage racks and merchandise stored on conveyances (U-boats and cages), stored on the floor and stored/protruding from shelves of storage racks in the following areas: a) Back storage room. b) Middle stock room. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d). Bed, Bath & Beyond, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1212887, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on June 23, 2017 with respect to a workplace located at 18700 Veterans Boulevard, Unit 14, Port Charlotte, Florida 33954.
