29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, in a readily accessible way, subjecting the employees to injuries. a. On or about January 23, 2020 at 12th Floor Communications Room of the FAA ATCT San Juan Tower, one 10-pound, ABC dry chemical, portable fire extinguisher was not readily accessible. Physical access to the extinguisher was hampered by a temporary air cooling unit stored in front of the extinguisher. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was witnessed by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
