29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Jobsite located at 3610 Sears Street, Philadelphia, PA: The employer did not ensure that the employees were utilizing a fall protection system when performing demolition operations on the 2nd floor three-story building approximately 10 feet above the lower level, thus exposing the employees to fall hazards. Condition was observed on or about 27 DEC 2019. Gama Wrecking, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1320105, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 2 JAN 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 2621-23 Jefferson Street, Philadelphia, PA.
