29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area. On or about October 12, 2019, on floors seven through eighteen of the Hard Rock Hotel construction site at 1031 Canal St., New Orleans, LA, the employer did not inform and train employees on the hazardous chemical they might be exposed to while working. This condition exposed employees to chemical hazards that could affect their health.
