Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
Under section 17(c) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: On or about May 30, 2019, employees in the warehouse were exposed to fire hazards associated with improperly stored fire extinguishers where the following deficiencies found included, but were not limited to: There were several fire extinguishers throughout the facility that were a)not inspected and not charged, b)blocked by boxes, racks, forklifts, microwaves, pallets, trash bins, c) knocked on the floor behind a equipment. The Taylor Pallets & Recycling, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1314993, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/02/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 1030 Bankhead Hwy, Winder, Ga.
