29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Paint Shop - On or about August 12th 2019, the employer failed to ensure that flexible cords were not as a substitute for fixed wiring. A mounted relocatable power tap (RPT) was used to power multiple devices, to include multiple flexible cords (extension cords) used in tandem. b) Sand Blast Shop - On or about August 12th 2019, the employer failed to ensure that flexible cords were not as a substitute for fixed wiring. Multiple flexible cords used were wrapped around pipes and other structures of the facility. Dana Rail Care, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1163455, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on February 8th, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1280 Railcar Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware.
