29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) On or about 06/27/19, on a roof sheeting jobsite, at a house at 716 Lafayette Ave., Buffalo, NY: A Ladder Jack Scaffold was erected on the left side of the house. An extension ladder was provided for employees to access the aluminum pik on the scaffold. The side rails of that extension ladder were only approx. 32 inches above the pik. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
