29 CFR 1915.14(a)(1)(ii): Hot work was performed within, on, or immediately adjacent to fuel tanks that contain or have contained fuel before those spaces were tested and certified by a Marine Chemist or a U.S. Coast Guard authorized person as "Safe for Hot Work"�. (a) Boat Barn - Fishing Vessel (FV) Progress - On or about February 1st, 2019 and at times prior thereto, employees used oxygen and acetylene torches to cut through fish holds #1 and #3 both port and starboard sides to increase fish storage capacity. While performing the hot work, the employees were exposed to fires and/or explosions that would likely cause death or serious bodily harm.
