29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about April 24, 2019, employees were not protected from a fall while walking/ working from the roof of a commercial building, exposing employees to a fall of approximately 17 feet. RMS Properties, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1358166, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 23, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 1400 Algonquin rd. Algonquin, IL 60102. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
