Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2): The employer did not ensure hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces were corrected or repaired before an employee used the walking-working surface again. When the correction or repair could not be made immediately, the hazard was not guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard was corrected or repaired: ESTABLISHMENT: The walking-working surfaces in the following locations were in a state of disrepair and were not repaired or guarded to prevent employees from tripping hazards: A. Main entrance at front of facility. C. Door threshold to Boiler room in basement. D. Curb of driveway area by outdoor table and benches at rear of facility. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard {29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2)}, which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 1281493, Citation Number 01, Item Number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/01/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 2777 Brentwood Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.
