Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about March 14, 2019, employees were exposed to a struck by hazard. The employees were performing roofing activities on a new residential home located at 1619 Crescent Drive, lot 135 Streetsboro Ohio 44241. The employees were using air powered nail guns without wearing protective safety glasses. B&R Construction & Building, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1287420 citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/16/2018, with respect to a workplace located at Lot 7, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223.
