29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. On or about November 8, 2018, located at The Fenimore Apartments in Westerville, Ohio on Building #5, employees were installing dormers onto an 8 on 12 inch pitch garage roof without being protected from falls, thereby exposing them to a fall hazard of approximately 11 feet. b.
