29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator was competent to operate a powered industrial truck safely, as demonstrated by the successful completion of the training and evaluation specified in this paragraph (l): a) 50 Howard Street, Piscataway, NJ 08854 - Stericycle/Warehouse Contractor employees performed work duties, such as but not limited to driving powered industrial trucks without being trained and evaluated prior to operating them. Condition observed on or about 10/9/2018. The company, Stericycle, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1110355, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/28/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 10 798 Hartwell Avenue, East Syracuse, NY 13057. WRITTEN ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19
