29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-sloped roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line systems and guardrail systems, warning line systems and safety net systems, or warning line systems and personal fall arrest systems, or warning line systems and safety monitoring systems: On or about July 12, 2018, employees were observed performing roof paint work on a low slope sheet metal roof with unprotected sides and edge without any type of fall protection system. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards above 6 feet. Empire Roofing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1209595, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/21/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 4629Marcro Dr., San Antonio, TX 78219.
