29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): (1) Unprotected sides and edges. (i) Except as provided elsewhere in this section, the employer must ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the following: a. On or about June 26, 2018, located at the southwest corner of the foundry , the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from fall hazards while working on top of the mold transfer; thereby exposing the employee to a maximum fall hazard of approximately four feet three inches. Sancast, Inc. a Subsidiary of Wabtec was previously cited for a violation of its equivalent standard 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1163018, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 10, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 535 Clow Lane Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
