29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Construction site, Madison Lansdale Station apartments, 2nd floor - On or about June 27, 2018, an employee working on top of the joists for the third floor used a rope as part of a personal fall arrest system that was not connected to an anchorage, exposing him to a fall hazard. Brutus Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1295811, citation number 01, item number 4a, and was affirmed as a final order on 3/23/18, with respect to a workplace located at 2200 Wakeling St., Philadelphia, PA. Brutus Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1303697, citation number 01, item number 02 and was affirmed as a final order on 4/24/18, with respect to a workplace located at West Moyer Road, Pottstown PA.
