29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Location - 1064 North Shore Rd. Revere On or about 23 April, 2018, the employer failed to ensure that employees working on an elevated areas were protected from falls. This violation was most recently observed on 4/23/2018 at a jobsite located 1064 North Shore Rd. Revere, MA 02151 where remodeling operation were taking place, the employees exposed to falls from 8 ft. to over 22 ft. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that wall openings are guarded or personnel fall arrest system are worn to protect each employee from fall hazards. John V. Lozzi dba Lozzi-Merrill Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501 (b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection 1150136, citation 1, item 2 and was affirmed as a final order on December 12, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 485 Beach St. Revere, MA 02151.
