29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): a. Employees performing sheathing work on a 6:12 pitch residential roof are not being protected from fall hazards of 9 feet 7 inches, and up to 11 feet 4 inches, by the use of a fall protection system. The employer routinely fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on, or about April 18, 2018, when employees were roof framing a one-story residence at 15 Jennie Lake Rd., Saint Augustine, Florida 32095 without a fall protection system and exposed to fall hazards of up to 11 feet 4 inches above the surrounding ground.
