Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.133(a)(2): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee that uses eye protection that provides side protection when there was a hazard from flying objects: a) Throughout the shop, on or about 2/13/18: Several employees were observed not wearing safety glasses with side shields when machining parts, buffing parts and using compressed air guns to blow off machined parts. The Kenwell Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 924107, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/20/13, with respect to a workplace located at 871 Hannibal Street, Fulton, NY 13069.
