29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8m) or more above the lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about November 4, 2017, the employer failed to ensure that employees performing roofing work were protected from falling to the ground below. Employees were performing shingle tear off and application on an apartment building which had a roof pitch of 7/12. The fall height from the roof to the ground below measured 25 feet. Jim Coon Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1170105, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on November 14, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 521 Shawnee Drive, Dover, OH.
