29 CFR 1910.272(h)(1): Each employee who walks or stands on or in stored grain, where the depth of the grain poses an engulfment hazard, was not equipped with a lifeline or alternative means which the employer demonstrates will prevent the employee from sinking further than waist-deep into the grain: On or about October 19, 2017, the employer failed to ensure that each employee entering grain storage structures was equipped with a lifeline or other personal protective equipment to prevent them from sinking more than waist-deep into grain. This exposed employees to engulfment, entrapment, asphyxiation, and/or amputation hazards.
