29 CFR 1910.219(f)(3): Sprocket wheels and chains which were seven -7 feet or less above floors or platforms were not enclosed: a) On or about September 22, 2017 there was an unguarded chain and sprocket underneath the Ross Packer on Line #6 that caused an amputation to an employee's finger. b) On or about September 22, 2017 there were three unguarded sprockets on the Line #3canning line. c) On or about September 22, 2017 there were four unguarded sprockets on the Line #4 canning line. d) On or about September 22, 2017 there were four unguarded sprockets on the Line #5 canning line. e) On or about September 22, 2017 there was one unguarded sprocket on the Line #9 canning line. f) On or about September 22, 2017 there was one unguarded sprocket on the Line #10 canning line. Del Monte Foods Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1004642, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on December 5, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 680 E John Street, Markesan, Wisconsin 53946.
