29 CFR 1910.27(a): Scaffolds used in general industry did not meet the requirements in 29 CFR part 1926, subpart L (Scaffolds). In reference to: 29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3): Scaffolds and scaffold components were not inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift, and after any occurrence which could affect a scaffold's structural integrity: a) Main Fan Room: On or about July 12, 2017 and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to struck by or crushed by hazard by not requiring a competent person to inspect the scaffold before employee use. b) Under Roaster: On or about July 12, 2017 and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to struck -by or crushed by hazard by not requiring a competent person to inspect the scaffold before employee use.
