29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed: a) 70 Charlton Street, north side of building, northeast corner, on or about 6-7-14: One employee was working while on an extension ladder that was not being used as designed or for its intended purpose, in that it was resting on a glass atrium and set against a swing stage scaffold, 23 stories above the ground, exposing the employee to a fall onto/into the glass atrium. b) 70 Charlton Street, north side of building, northeast corner, on or about 6-7-14: One employee was using a step ladder that was not being used as designed or for its intended purpose, in that it was leaning against a wall, with a 14 inch gap at the edge, exposing the employee to a fall onto the scaffold platform or to the roof below. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OR A SUBSTANTIALLY SIMILAR OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, 1926.1053(b)(4), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 808401, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 005, ISSUED ON 3-1-13, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 1 BALINT DRIVE, YONKERS NY, 10710.
