29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: A.) On or about April 13, 2017 at 89-02 37th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372 An emergency exit door was observed blocked by a metal hand truck preventing prompt and safe egress from the building in the event of a fire and/or other emergency. B.) On or about April 13, 2017 at 89-02 37th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372 An emergency exit route leading to a 1st floor exit door was observed obstructed by a permanently installed conveyor belt preventing prompt and safe egress from the building in the event of a fire and/or other emergency. C.) On or about September 1. 2017 at 89-02 37th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372 An emergency exit route leading to a 1st floor exit door was observed obstructed by a hand truck containing cartons of canned goods preventing prompt and safe egress from the building in the event of a fire and/or other emergency. CRESCENT FOOD CORP. DBA TRADE FAIR SUPERMARKET WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 1910.37(a)(3) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 907084, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 001(a), AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 10/23/14 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 23-55 BROADWAY, ASTORIA, NY 11106. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.39
