29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure: a) Roof - On or about February 27, 2017, a worker installing capping on the parapet of a flat roof was not provided with fall protection while exposed to a 35 ft. fall. b) Roof - On or about February 27, 2017, a worker installing capping on the parapet of a flat roof was exposed to a 10 ft. fall through a 2 foot by 4 foot skylight opening which was not provide with a cover. c) Roof - On or about February 27, 2017, a worker installing capping on the parapet of a flat roof was exposed to a 10 ft. fall through a 2 foot by 2 foot opening or floor hole which was not covered. d) Third Floor - On or about February 27, 2017, a worker was exposed to a 7 foot fall while walking near to an open-sided floor next to a stairway where no fall protection was provided. Oscar Cruz Construction dba Master Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1123662, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/19/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1048 48th. Pl., NE, Washington, DC 20019. Oscar Cruz Construction was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1001984, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/04/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 2841 Belair Rd., NE, Washington, DC 20007.
