29 CFR 1928.57(d)(1)(v): Chains and sprockets were not completely enclosed. On or about January 4, 2017, the employer did not ensure chains and sprockets were guarded while employees operated cotton gin machinery and exposed them to caught in hazards. Rotan Gin Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1928.57(d)(1)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1125751, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/18/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 400 S Cleveland Ave Rotan, TX.
