Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(ii): Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed: On or about December 6, 2016 the employer had unused openings that exposed employees to electrical hazards in the following electrical equipment: a. the junction box on top of the north exit door from the warehouse. b. the electrical cabinet in the compressor room on the north left wall had an unused opening on the exhaust fan section. The Simmons Foods, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.305(b)(1)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1124062, citation number 1, item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on May 24, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1001 East Main St., Siloam Springs, AR 72761.
