29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels is not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, or provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Location: Jobsite This violation most recently occurred on or about November 12, 2016 where: 1) The employer does not ensure employees are protected from falling by any fall protection system exposing them to falls of approximately eighteen (18) feet to the ground below; 2) The employer does not ensure employees are protected from falls of approximately eight (8) feet nine (9) inches to the concrete below at a staircase opening. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that employees exposed to fall hazards over six (6) feet are provided adequate fall protection. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance.
