29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: Each employee engaged in framing and other related activities is not protected from head injury by using protective helmets. Quick Carpentry, Inc. does not ensure the use of head protection/protective helmets while performing framing and other related activities at the worksite. This violation was most recently observed at Block 14802, Lot 89, 6 Mimosa Court, Sicklerville NJ where a company employee, not wearing head protection, was exposed to struck by hazards when working beneath a company employee using unsecured hand tools, pneumatic nailers, etc. This condition was observed on or about 10/06/16. To abate this violation the employer must ensure that its employees performing framing and other activities, as well as exposed to struck by hazards, are using protective helmets. Quick Carpentry, Inc. was previously cited for a Serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1138364, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/01/16, with respect to a workplace located at Block 404.37, Lot 2, 2 Kendall Drive, Medford NJ. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
