29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv): The details of the hazard communication program developed by the employer, did not include an explanation of the labels received on shipped containers and the workplace labeling system used by their employer; the safety data sheet, including the order of information and how employee could obtain and use the appropriate hazard information: (a)On or about July 7, 2016, the employer failed to include in the details of hazard communication program, an explanation of the labels received on shipped containers and the workplace labeling system used by their employer; the safety data sheet, including the order of information and how employee could obtain and use the appropriate hazard information. The written hazard communication program was dated in 2000 and did not include the above information required by the Globally Harmonized System. Employees had not received training in the topics listed above. Employees are exposed to chemical hazards including, but not limited to Elgen Water Based Liner Adhesive, Capital Hardware Elgen 100% Silicone Sealant and Adhesive, Elgen Duct Sealer, 10555 Spiral Lube QD, and OEM/Mechanical - CT10101-5 insulation material, and fumes/particles generated from welding and cutting galvanized steel. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose. HAMMOND SHEET METAL dba BARRINGTON MANUFACTURING COMPANY WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 951937, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM 2, ISSUED ON MARCH 17, 2014 AND AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON APRIL 9, 2014.
