29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): No. 14 and larger cord was not repaired so that the repair retains the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced. a) Shop; On or about May 25, 2016 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to electrical hazards in that employees were allowed to walk and work around a squirrel cage fan that had the power cord spliced but did not retain the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced.
