29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): The employer does not protect each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): This violation was most recently observed on 05/04/2016 - 05/12/2016 at a worksite at 55 Rodgers Lane in Middletown RI (main roof, roof over entrance, roof over laundry center) where adequate fall arrest systems were not provided, exposing employees working on the roofs to a fall of 9 1/2 to 18 feet. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that a fall protection system is in place to protect each employee working 6 feet or more above a lower level from falling.
