29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: The employer is failing to protect employees from injuries associated with fire hazards when the fire extinguishers were not readily accessible and mounted. This was most recently documented at Axel Americas LLC North Kansas City, Missouri location. Fire extinguishers in the entrance, warehouse, and kettle room were placed on the floor, behind a door, and on a shelf not readily accessible for employees in case of fire due to being in hard to reach locations.
