29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer does not protect employee(s) engaged in using machines or operations which present potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. This violation was most recently observed on 12/23/2015 at a worksite at 486 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT where eye and face protection was not provided where physical agents (pneumatic nail guns) were utilized in the workplace. Paucar Roofing & Siding LLC has been previously cited for this practice as described below. Paucar Roofing & Siding, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 901341, citation number 01, item number 001, affirmed as final order on 6/28/2013 with respect to a workplace located at 305 Main Street, Watertown, CT. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that eye and face protection is available and utilized by each employee on its worksites to protect each employee working with pneumatic nails exposed to eye or face hazards. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19(d), the employer must provide documentation that this violation has been abated within 10 calendar days it receives the citation.
