29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): Working space required by this standard may not be used for storage. When normally enclosed live parts are exposed for inspection or servicing, the working space, if in a passageway or general open space, shall be suitably guarded. a) In the Machine Shop Area at the workplace, there was less than 30 inches of clearance between six 480 volt electrical control panels and the materials stored around them. The control panels, located on the south wall, had a storage bench and various tooling stored approximately 16 inches in front of them. The Titanium Metals Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard (1910.303(g)(1)(ii)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311605968, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as final order on 10/29/14 with respect to a workplace located at 100 Titanium Way, Toronto, Ohio 43964.
