Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The %% employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: a) Warehouseman performing foaming operations are exposed to the hazard of being splashed in the eyes by injurious material, MDI. Foaming areas include: a) Pump packing area. b) Shipping area - small parts packing area. c) Shipping area - heavy equipment packing area. A feasible and useful abatement method for reducing this hazard, among others is: 1) Installation of suitable facilities for flushing of the eyes in the immediate work areas.
