29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: (a) On or about 09/15/15 - Mechanically Separated Chicken (MSC) Department, specific procedures to control hazardous energy sources, such as but not limited to, pneumatic and electrical, were not developed, documented and utilized by an employee cleaning and reassembling machinery inside of the valve open and close section of the metal detector, resulting in a finger amputation. Pilgrim's Pride Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4) (i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314198573, citation number 2, item number 1(a) and was affirmed as a final order on 05/12/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 2045 Highway 244, Russellville, AL. 35653.
