Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: On or about May 14, 2015 and in times prior thereto and thereafter, in the #1 Glue Line area, a WALCO roller coater did not have a specific procedure for locking it out. Employees cleaned and wrapped rollers with plastic, and set up the machine for operation without de-energizing the machine and locking it out, exposing employees to the hazards of being caught in the rollers. The MooreCo, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 965451, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 11, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 2885 Lorraine Ave, Temple, TX 76501.
