29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1): Pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified at 29 CFR 1910.219(m) & (o): The employer does not ensure employees are protecte d from contact with unguarded pulleys. The unguarded pulley was on a motor power ing a wall-mounted ventilation fan. Employee(s) were exposed to a caught-between hazard. This violation was observed on or about September 20, 2010. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are not being exposed to unguarded pulleys.
