29 CFR 1910.303(b)(6): Deteriorating agents. Unless identified for use in the operating environment, no conductors or equipment shall be located in damp or wet locations; where exposed to gases, fumes, vapors, liquids, or other agents that have a deteriorating effect on the conductors or equipment; or were exposed to excessive temperatures. a) Production Area: On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, employer exposed employees to electrical hazards, in that the employer has not provided the appropriate electrical outlets for employees working around vapors and fumes in the production area. b) Laboratory Area: On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, employer exposed employees to electrical hazards, in that the employer did not provide the appropriate electrical outlets for employees in the laboratory who work with corrosive and other hazardous gases, fumes, vapors, and liquids.
