29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were guarded against accidental contact by approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures, or other means listed under this provision: ALON USA, LP, 200 Refinery Road, Big Spring, TX. The employer does not ensure live parts of electrical equipment are guarded. This violation was observed on or about April 15, 2009 in the following instance: a) In the Digital Control System room: Exposed electrical wires energized to 120 volts and at a height of 7 feet 4 inches were hanging from the ceiling. (b) In the Digital Control System room: Exposed electrical wires energized to 120 volts and at a height of 4 feet were hanging from the northwest wall. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that live parts of electric equipment are guarded.t
