Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 025 Hazard: REFINERY
29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): Working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less was used for storage: ALON USA, LP, 200 Refinery Road, Big Spring, TX. The employer does not ensure sufficient access and working space is provided about all electrical equipment. This violation was observed on or about April 15, 2009 in the following instance: In the Digital Control System room: 489 VAC Power Panel identified as EPS Warehouse. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that work space around electrical equipment is not used for storage.t
