29 CFR 1910.156(c)(3): The employer did not provide training and education similar to those conducted by fire training schools: ALON USA, LP, 200 Refinery Road, Big Spring, TX. The employer does not provide training and education similar to those conducted by fire training schools for the unique hazards in the oil refining industry. This violation was observed on or about April 15, 2009 in the following instance: Fire brigade member(s) working for Alon USA, LP are not being provided with training and education similar to those conducted by fire training schools for the unique hazards found in the oil refinery industry. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that fire fighters receive training that consists of a combination of formal instruction, and practical training for the unique hazards of the oil refining industry.
