29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. a) Production Area- Storage Racks; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that chemical drums and pallets are not stacked onto storage racks in a secure manner, resulting in pallets and drums hanging off the side of the storage racks.
