29 CFR 1910.333(a)(1): "Deenergized parts." Live parts to which an employee may be exposed shall be deenergized before the employee works on or near them, unless the employer can demonstrate that deenergizing introduces additional or increased hazards or is infeasible due to equipment design or operational limitations. On 2/4/15, at Plant 4, employees working in Press 1 480v electrical panel did not use work practices that were suitable for the conditions under which the work was performed in that, the incoming power supply at the lugs remained energized while employees performed service work. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
