Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:On or About 02/27/13 Location:Soldering Area Condition:An employee performed silver soldering activities utilizing natural gas supplied by clear flexible tubing marked "Food Grade". Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazard is to comply with International Fuel Gas Code IFGC 2012 403.6 Plastic pipe, tubing and fittings: Polyethylene plastic pipe, tubing and fittings used to supply gas shall conform with the 2009 edition of ASTM D 2513. Such pipe shall be marked "GAS" and ASTM D 2513.
